Natalie is a Santa Cruz native. This is evidenced by the fact that she frequently rides her bike to work – even on rainy days. Her path to landscape architecture took some twists and turns. She majored in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems but, as fate would have it, decided in her last year that landscape architecture would be a better fit after doing a joint project with the landscape architecture students. Natalie gained valuable plant experience and leadership skills while working as an Internship Coordinator at the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden. She is passionate about native plants – both in restoration work and in the developed landscape. Natalie is an avid reader which keeps her mind sharp as a tack. She loves to cook and frequently shares her creations with the staff who devour her treats like a pack of hungry jackals. Natalie is also a wee bit shy with a wicked sense of humor. And she can hold her own when competing in the office pun-fests, going toe-to-toe with staff. A true original.
Natalie graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems from the University of California Davis and has a Landscape Design Skills Certificate from Cabrillo College.
