Nestled in the Hillsborough/Burlingame Hills, this landscape embodies a traditional country garden with a hint of modern flare. SSA designed multiple spaces for clients who enjoy relaxing outdoors, cooking in the open air, and entertaining guests. This project included the redesign of a new multi-level deck, a large patio with a fire pit, a high-end outdoor kitchen, and a smaller, more private patio with a water feature. One of the many unique features of this landscape are the multiple stone walls throughout the site where some of the walls crevices and small spaces are filled with assorted plants, creating a virtual living wall. The plant material used throughout the site includes color and texture of many types to create a cottage garden feel, while providing the clients with interesting plants all year round. Many planter pots were also used to provide even more color and interest throughout the year.
