Pasatiempo Golf Course Water Tank

SSA was hired by Pasatiempo Golf Club (PGC) to lead a design team of ten sub-consultants to help solve the golf course's water shortage. PGC had been receiving between 45 - 60 million gallons per year of potable water from the Santa Cruz Water Department before they were mandated to reduce their water usage by 50% due to water restrictions. SSA prepared design and construction documents for a water system that treats waste water on-site and stores it in a 500,000 gallon water tank for irrigation of the golf course.

Treated water is intercepted as it flows along a pipeline from Scotts Valley to the ocean and receives additional treatment on-site for use in irrigation. The new system delivers approximately 30,000 gallons of recycled water per day and is the first of its kind in California.
