Parks & Recreation

SSA has worked closely with cities, counties, and stakeholders in creating a wide range of recreation opportunities for communities.

Our park and recreation work has included small pocket parks, city parks, master plans, sports complexes and the renovation of existing parks. In collaborating with our clients, we have facilitated workshops to determine community needs and develop consensus. Our goal for each project is to develop a shared vision with all stakeholders, resulting in a project that takes on its own identity. Our designs are inspired by cultural/natural history, community character, environment and geography. We strive to incorporate and protect sensitive habitats within all projects with the goal of sustainability, as well as enrich suburban and urban parks with designs that are maintainable and will endure for decades to come.
