Christian has been a dedicated surfer all his life, and he is now settled in as a dedicated member of our team. Like analyzing the next big wave, Christian loves analyzing the details. Most designers dread technical specifications, but Christian has an affinity for detail, which is one of the reasons we love having him on our team. He also loves sports, and is as psyched on specs as he is about the Giants winning their next big game. However, he takes umbrage with Karen Sutherland who thinks she is the biggest Giants fan in the office. As if. Christian has coached his step-son, Ayden, in baseball and soccer for many years and is very proud of him and his accomplishments, and in 2017, he and his wife welcomed their daughter, Zoe, into the world.
Christian joined SSA in 2014. As a landscape designer for projects, he provides support to the design team and prepares presentation graphics, cost estimates and construction documents, as well as assisting in technical specifications for public bid. His experience on projects for numerous client types, and his 16 years of experience in the landscape industry provides valuable knowledge towards up-to-date and budget-friendly product selection, ADA accessibility and technical expertise. The speed and experience gained working on a multitude of fast-paced projects strengthens his ability to meet a fast-tracked schedule. Christian has a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He is a licensed Landscape Architect.
