SSA's goals for the Broadway Avenue corridor were to revitalize the existing downtown, support a new civic campus, and provide a sense of serenity and neighborhood charm in the surrounding residential areas. Our design transformed a busy vehicular thoroughfare into a vibrant and attractive district of Seaside with a balance of development at a pedestrian scale. To achieve this, SSA conducted public workshops and worked closely with city staff to develop conceptual streetscapes for the residential areas, as well as designs for the civic and downtown revitalization areas.
