Rojas-Pierce Park

SSA developed a master plan for this 21-acre park for the City of Mendota with the aid of grants. Input from the community provided most of the programming elements, with the City adding the remainder. The main components of the park include new and age appropriate play, a splash park, sport fields, parking, restrooms, picnic shelters, and passive open space. The addition of a three soccer field complex is designed to fill the local and regional needs of the community youth soccer leagues. The park is also programmed to host a number of community events such as carnivals and festivals. Funds generated from vendor fees at these events will help to return money to the parks program. As the center of community based events, it was designed to function effectively and efficiently for all user groups.
