SSA served as the prime consultant leading, collaborating, and managing the design and engineering for Sherwood Park Pickleball courts; including fencing, site furnishings, restroom building and associated utility connections, shade structures, lighting, surrounding hardscape and circulation, expanded on-street parking and landscape areas sufficient for ornamental and bioretention purposes as required. Construction of the Pickleball Courts was completed early summer 2026.
Sherwood Park Pickleball courts were part of the 26.5 acre Sherwood Park Master Plan, SSA developed for the City of Paso Robles, California. The updated plan includes programming elements for four smaller parks, Sherwood Park, Sherwood Forest Park, Oak Creek Park, and Sherwood Dog Park that make up the greater Sherwood Park. This plan serves as a blueprint for future development and will include active recreation items including baseball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts with more passive recreation items to include walking trails, picnic areas, community gardens, and an outdoor amphitheater. SSA facilitated community outreach efforts to gather feedback and suggested direction from the surrounding community to help inform the Master Plan design.
