A California native, Robert is originally from San Diego. He is a lover of the outdoors and an avid traveler and long-distance hiker. Before becoming a landscape architect, Robert would spend months at a time backpacking through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, including New Zealand, Europe, and the United States. Robert recently became a new father in 2020 with the birth of his son, Cal, and in the summer of 2022 will welcome their daughter into the world. He builds furniture in his spare time, something we all wish we had more of. A passionate creative and coffee junkie, we love having him as part of the SSA team.
Robert is a life-long learner and avid reader. He is interested in the relationship between horticulture and sustainability, working on all project types including parks, corporate campuses and residences. Earning his Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Sheffield in England, studying overseas has given Robert valuable insight into the field of landscape architecture and a unique perspective on creating engaging public and private spaces. He is a licensed Landscape Architect.
